A Love of Story Telling- Dunaire Style
There are currently not one but TWO story telling events being put on by our neighbors in Dunaire.
True Life Stories, produced by neighbor Suzanne Roush, is a live storytelling event for people who like to tell stories and other people who like to listen to them. Storytellers are welcome to throw their name in the hat for a chance to tell a 5 minute story on the theme of “FACE.” -Do you know a face that launched a thousand ships? -Have you ever had to face the music? -Or face your fears? -Or face the cold hard truth? -Or do an about-face? -Or have you ever fallen in love at first sight? If so, I sure hope you’ll come and tell us about it on Monday August 3rd at 7:30! We welcome storytellers AND story lovers. There’s no admission fee, but there is a cash bar. My Story, hosted by Dave and Marg Lambert on Balfour Dr: All of us have meaningful stories to tell. MY STORY is a gathering of people who write their true life stories and then share them in a trusted community setting. When we write the stories of our lives and then share them with others, we leave a legacy for future generations, and we get to know our neighbors. We gather weekly with a small group and write in between sessions. At each meeting, 3 to 4 writers will volunteer to read a story of 8-10 minutes from what they have written.
Meetings will be held on Saturday mornings at 9:00am beginning September 5th. Tickets are $30, this ticket includes your guidebook and participation in 10 weekly sessions.
