[Update] A Special Message from Our Neighborhood President

Please join the family and loved ones of Bobbie Pettiford as we gather to celebrate and honor her life, legacy, and beautiful memories she leaves behind. Your presence, prayers, and support are deeply appreciated as we come together to remember a life that touched so many.  Celebration of life memorial service Tuesday August 18th at 10am New Mercies Christian Church 4000 Five Forks Trickum Rd Sw Lilburn Ga ——————————————————————————————————————— The effects of Tuesday night’s storm continued to evolve yesterday into tragedy. Early Wednesday morning, neighbors contacted 911 to report their next door neighbor, Bobbie Pettiford, missing. Police and Firefighters were dispatched and searched the house and concluded she was not there. Dunaire neighbors came together and continued to try to reach Bobbie by phone throughout the day. Finally, through memories of shared dinners, we were lead to find a restaurant once owned by Bobbie’s cousin. Tony Nastri went to the restaurant to find her co...

Dunaire, a Multicultural Neighborhood, Needs your INPUT

Image
Hello neighbors! In effort to make neighborhood information more accessible to everyone in the community, I'm hoping to get a tally of all the languages spoken by our residents.  This will help with language options on forms, and give us a clearer understanding how to include EVERYONE in our community.  Comment below with the languages you hear in the neighborhood!

*Coming Soon!* Neighborhood Watch

Image
We are slowly (but surely!) setting up a neighborhood watch and will soon be looking for Block Captians who are willing to step up as a contact point for neighbors for support and to faciitate communication among neighbors. There have been a few incidences in the past few months that we would like everyone to be aware of. We are working on a central site or page seperate from Facebook that will have incident reports, photos of suspects, and info to help keep us informed and up to date with everything that is going on in Dunaire. Brown Water

Image
Neighbors have reported having brown water today. The lines are currently being cleared by Dekalb Watershed. Remember, if you have brown water there is an issue in the main line. You can contact Dekalb Watershed Management to make sure they are aware of the problem. Once the initial problem is fixed they will come and rinse the watermain out through a fire hydrant. In the meantime refrain from using hot water as the silty brown water will fill your hot water heater and settle reducing the life of your hot water heater.
